Ed Gauntt

Ed Gauntt is the Director of U.S. and Foreign Operations. Ed has been with Far Reaching Ministries since April of 2001. One of many of Ed’s responsibilities includes overseeing pastors traveling to South Sudan to teach chaplains at the FRM compound.  Ed has been to South Sudan numerous times to teach chaplains and use his spiritual gift of encouragement to disciple FRM’s senior chaplains.  He also manages container shipments that go overseas to support the on-going Bible training, evangelism, and physical needs of the people of South Sudan.  Besides being in the office through the week, he spends most weekends traveling with Wes Bentley as he speaks at various churches sharing the vision of FRM.  Ed also speaks on occasions at men’s conferences, alongside Wes, to inspire men to let God use them to their full ability.

Ed comes from a corporate background where he has worked for a number of Fortune 500 companies.  Ed came to the Lord in 1982, while working in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has served on a voluntary basis in various ministries, while attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa for a number of years.  In 1992, Ed spent seven months as a missionary in Russia, while assisting to start one of the first Calvary Chapels in Moscow.

One of his favorite verses is Acts 20:24, “But none of these things move me nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
