Wes and Vicky Bentley
Wes, a former Marine, has been a missionary for over 20 years. The Lord led Wes to recognize a greater need in world. God prepared Wes to go to Sudan while serving as a missionary for five years in Russia. He first went to Africa in 1996, where he took the gospel to some of the most extreme places. In December of 1998, Wes founded Far Reaching Ministries (FRM). He then started the Chaplains training program for the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA). FRM is now the recognized Chaplin training arm for South Sudan and have fielded over 400 men. FRM expanded their ministry to other parts of Africa and the world. In the following years, they have started ministries in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, the Congo, Mauritius, South Africa, France, Ireland, Russia, Asia, and the United States. An extension campus of Calvary Chapel Bible College was also started in Kenya. Wes and Vicky met in the summer of 1998, while serving in South Sudan. They were later married in 2005. Vicky has been a missionary in Africa for over 15 years. She desires for the women in Africa, and in the United States, to join together in fellowship. In 2004, she founded Far Reaching Ministries Aviation (FRMA)—a sister company of FRM. Under FRMA, Vicky has started Rubuna Fi (in Arabic it means “God is here”)—which teaches the Bible, literacy training, and helps provide revenue for women—Love Covers—which is a children’s ministry that provides basic needs for children and shares the Word of God with them—and many other outreach ministries. Vicky passionately shares the Lord with women all over the world. FRMA purchased a bush plane in May of 2006. The plane was leased to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). MAF now operates the airplane, which has made it possible for missionaries and supplies to be taken into Uganda, Sudan, Kenya, and the Congo. When Wes and Vicky are not in Sudan, they are traveling the United States and the world, teaching at churches and exhorting the body of Christ.
